The Pembroke Fitness Centre’s 4th annual Zombie Thrill Run 2016 was a great day. With more zombies, more participants and if it’s possible even more fun this Zombie Thrill Run we hope will be remembered as a fun-filled day for all! Our goal was to raise $25,000 for Carfor’s Mental Health unit in Pembroke. Thanks to your care and support, we raised very close to our goal. Thank you for making our event such a great success!
Mental illness is a leading cause of disability in Canada. People with a mental illness and addictions are more likely to die prematurely as compared to the general population. The wing located in the Carefor building on Mackay Street will offer a safe haven for people suffering from mental health issues and drug or alcohol addictions. The wing will provide access to health care, mental health professionals, counseling and treatment therapy. In an effort to promote quality of life, health, independence and recovery the Carfor Health Unit will provide the care required for those in need.
Included below is the link to the 5 and 10 km race results.
